Pediatric Allergies

Dr. Mendy Maccabee treats Pediatric Allergies in Hood River

Children’s allergies can be one of the most confusing and scary problems for parents. Food allergies can make school difficult, and even though peanut and tree nut allergies are now well known, they continue to be problematic for many patients. Environmental allergies to grass or certain plants or chemicals is frequently a problem for many patients.

Insect allergies, including the notorious honey bee can be life threatening, causing anaphylaxis. Although epi-pens are widely thought of as the common therapy, Treating your child’s stinging insect allergy with injection immunotherapy is more convenient, usually safer, and can save your child’s life!
