Dr. Mendy Maccabee treats Hyperthyroidism in Hood River

The thyroid gland is sometimes referred to as the metabolic thermostat of the body, regulating the amount of energy expenditure at baseline. In addition to changes in thyroid hormone production, thyroid glands can grow benign or malignant tumors which can be felt as lumps or irregularities on a neck exam. Dr. Mendy’s long experience examining thyroid patients, in addition to common laboratory and ultrasound exams is the key to managing your thyroid disorder.
